"I wanted to send my belated thanks for the most superb party that you provided for my mother on her seventieth
birthday. Arranging a surprise party for my mother in Florida while living in Boston myself seemed from the outset like an
overwhelming challenge. As a first step, I contacted several caterers in the Orlando area to ask for proposals. As
soon as I spoke to Kellie on the phone, I knew I had found the right connection, and - as the event proved - I could
not have made a better choice!
Kellie not only contributed terrific ideas and specific suggestions building on my initial vision for the party, but
followed through scrupulously on detail. From knowing which baker to order the delicious custom cake, to suggesting
the perfect take-away treats for the guests, to getting the linens and decorations exactly right, to creating a menu
that was not only well-balanced and scrumptious but fit into the fifties theme of the event - she could not have been
more helpful and conscientious. She also helped me figure out what made the most sense in terms of cost and value,
which I really appreciated!
On the day, Nick and his helper showed up exactly on time, and had everything completely set up and ready to go when
guests began arriving. Since it was a surprise party, the timing element was particularly important. Everything
looked beautiful, and tasted even better. I have planned a number of big parties, and I can say without hesitation
that this was by far the smoothest and best-executed party I have ever worked on, and the credit is due mostly to
Kellie, Nick, Will and their staff.
During the party, Nick was extremely attentive and responsive to requests, getting the champagne and flutes distributed
quickly when a toast was announced, making sure that the warm appetizers circled at appropriate times, keeping things
neat and organized - a thousand little details that contributed to the comfort and enjoyment of the guests.
The best accolade I can give is that my mother is still rhapsodizing over the event two months later. Her friends are
still calling and writing her to tell her how much they enjoyed the party, raving about everything, from the food to
the décor to the helpfulness of the catering staff. I expect that Hospitality Concepts will head the list for personal
catering recommendations among this particular group from now on.
